GRIMM BROTHERS

These two brothers were born in Germany, and they both were studying philology and folklore.

  As a result, they travelled around their own country and talked to farmers and with the market women, in order to learn from them.
Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm went everywhere questioning people, collecting stories from locals and then they took notes.

About 1812 they published they first book, with fantastic stories like “Snow White”, “Hansel and Gretel”, “The Three Spinners” or “Hans in Luck”.

They recreated the farmer’s stories and they were told with great simplicity, and achieved that children could appreciate the beauty and wonder of these tales.

We should also name a film called "The Grimm Brothers" where you can see the two brothers living their own stories!
